SWTOR Taris (Empire) Blue Mastery Datacron Location Guide
The Blue Mastery Datacron increases your aptitude in combat, allowing you to do more damage. It will grant you Mastery +4 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 49: Exar Kun. There are 5 Datacrons in total located on the planet of Taris.
Datacrons are collectables scattered around the galaxy in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each Datacron contributes towards your Legacy's passive stats permanently. Furthermore, they also provide interesting Lore and Codex Entries about the Old Republic era.
Starting coordinates: 1182, 263.
This Datacron is located on a broken platform near the Derelict Swoop Tracks in the Tularan Marsh. This is quite the long way around to get to the Datacron's location with a bit of a jumping puzzle. You start by climbing a pipe right next to the Derelict Swoop Tracks. This is exactly the same as the Republic Orange Mastery Datacron version, so be sure you are on the correct faction.
When you get to the top of the pipe, turn left and run to the end of the platform and turn right at the wall.
Drop down to the next broken platform and proceed straight ahead.
When you reach the gap, I recommend using a mount to make the jumps easier, as well as it is a long run.
Once you get to the end of this long platform, turn right and jump down to the next bit of broken support beams. I especially recommend a mount here, since the jump is a bit farther than usual.
Once again, when you get to the end of this part, turn right yet again. This time however, I recommend not using a mount for the jump. The jump is not too far and there's a risk of getting stuck because the next support beam is at a funny angle. Remember there's two gaps here.
After you get through both gaps, proceed to the end of the next broken platform, turn right onto the next support beam.
From this support beam, use a mount to help with the high jump to reach the last platform, where the Datacron will be located.
Now it's simply a matter of passing the corner to reach your destination.
This will grant you Mastery +4 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 49: Exar Kun.
This datacron holds unheard of power and knowledge collected by an ancient race. You access its power and discover writings which are clearly only one small piece of a massive galactic history:
When the Jedi teach of the dangers of pride and overreach, they often speak of Exar Kun. A promising Jedi who trained on Dantooine, Exar Kun was known for his talent and his temper. He was intensely curious about all matters of the Force, and disagreed with his Master over the dangers of the dark side. Exar Kun believed he was strong enough to study the dark side without being corrupted by it.
Denied access to dark side teachings, however, Exar Kun left the Jedi in disgust. When he heard the Jedi had sealed the Sith Lord Freedon Nadd's sarcophagus away on the jungle moon of Dxun, he went to Dxun to seek the tomb.
Breaking through the tomb's seals, Exar Kun was confronted by the spirit of Freedon Nadd. Impressed by his power, Nadd told Exar Kun to journey to the Sith holy world of Korriban.
