SWTOR Taris (Republic) Orange Mastery Datacron Location Guide
The Orange Mastery Datacron increases your aptitude in combat, allowing you to do more damage. It will grant you Mastery +2 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 24: Empress Teta. There are 5 Datacrons in total located on the planet of Taris.
Datacrons are collectables scattered around the galaxy in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each Datacron contributes towards your Legacy's passive stats permanently. Furthermore, they also provide interesting Lore and Codex Entries about the Old Republic era.
Starting coordinates: 1182, 263.
This Datacron is located on a broken platform near the Derelict Swoop Tracks in the Tularan Marsh. This is quite the long way around to get to the Datacron's location with a bit of a jumping puzzle. You start by climbing a pipe right next to the Derelict Swoop Tracks. This is exactly the same as the Imperial Blue Mastery Datacron version, so be sure you are on the correct faction.
When you get to the top of the pipe, turn left and run to the end of the platform and turn right at the wall.
Drop down to the next broken platform and proceed straight ahead.
When you reach the gap, I recommend using a mount to make the jumps easier, as well as it is a long run.
Once you get to the end of this long platform, turn right and jump down to the next bit of broken support beams. I especially recommend a mount here, since the jump is a bit farther than usual.
Once again, when you get to the end of this part, turn right yet again. This time however, I recommend not using a mount for the jump. The jump is not too far and there's a risk of getting stuck because the next support beam is at a funny angle. Remember there's two gaps here.
After you get through both gaps, proceed to the end of the next broken platform, turn right onto the next support beam.
From this support beam, use a mount to help with the high jump to reach the last platform, where the Datacron will be located.
Now it's simply a matter of passing the corner to reach your destination.
This will grant you Mastery +2 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 24: Empress Teta.
This datacron holds unheard of power and knowledge collected by an ancient race. You access its power and discover writings which are clearly only one small piece of a massive galactic history:
The Republic had enjoyed a long period of peace during the Manderon Period, but the Koros system was rapidly becoming a problem. Although the planet Koros Major was stable, growing wealthy on carbonite exports, the other six worlds of the system were poor and increasingly lawless.
The task of uniting the Koros system was accepted by a noble famed for her military achievements. Empress Teta was the heir to Koros Major and was determined that the rest of the Koros system would share its prosperity. To that end, Teta began the Unification Wars, hoping to bring the entire system under her rule. She was ultimately successful, though she had to fight a long and bloody campaign to conquer the planet Kirrek.
Empress Teta would become known as one of the Republic's boldest commanders. The Koros system was eventually renamed after her.
