SWTOR Taris (Empire) Orange Mastery Datacron Location Guide
The Blue Mastery Datacron increases your aptitude in combat, allowing you to do more damage. It will grant you Mastery +4 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 52: Exar Kun Faces Korriban. There are 5 Datacrons in total located on the planet of Taris.
Datacrons are collectables scattered around the galaxy in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each Datacron contributes towards your Legacy's passive stats permanently. Furthermore, they also provide interesting Lore and Codex Entries about the Old Republic era.
Starting coordinates: -754, 1194.
This Datacron is located on a scaffolding in the Republic Mines below the Abandoned Pirate Cave in the Brell Sediment, next to the Sith Warrior instance.
Take the elevator down at the end of the Abandoned Pirate Cove.
In the large atrium you can see the Datacron on top of the scaffolding. Use the vehicle to the left to start your climb.
Climb the vehicle on its left side.
From the "wheel", jump to the scaffolding on the left. Thereâs no need to get onto the plow in front.
Get on top of the crate and jump to the small pipe attached to the large pipe. I do recommend killing the two enemies below, because they will easily detect you.
Jump to the next scaffolding on the other side of the large pipe. Be careful with a running jump, you can easily glide off.
From the stacked crates on the scaffolding, you can jump either to the large pipe to the left to get on top of the stacked containers straight ahead (Not recommended), or you can jump directly to the small ledge sticking out from the second container and use the small handle thingies on the top container to get on top (Recommended).
From the stacked crates on this set of containers, jump to the next stack of containers, to then from the next stack of crates, jump to the narrow pipe running on the left. This might be the toughest of the jumps.
Use the pipe to get to the scaffolding at the end.
From here on you have to make two big jumps to get to the stacked containers at the end. I highly recommend using Rocket Boots, or at least Force Speed. Rocket Boots last long enough that you can make both the jumps in one go.
From the containers, simply walk off to the scaffolding below where the Datacron is located, preferably from an angle to be sure you don't overshoot the jump.
This will grant you Mastery +4 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 52: Exar Kun Faces Korriban.
This datacron holds unheard of power and knowledge collected by an ancient race. You access its power and discover writings which are clearly only one small piece of a massive galactic history:
Fascinated by tales of the ancient Sith and seeking greater knowledge, the Jedi Knight Exar Kun had defied his Master's warnings and spoken with the spirit of Freedon Nadd on Dxun. On the Sith Lord's advice, Exar Kun traveled to Korriban and began exploring its tombs. A cave-in soon pinned Exar Kun to the ground, nearly crushing him.
The spirit of Freedon Nadd spoke to Exar Kun again, promising he would rescue the young Jedi if he gave himself to the dark side. Still believing he was strong enough to resist the dark side's lure, Exar Kun gave his word and power filled his body.
The cave-in was blasted away and Exar Kun's injuries healed, but his promise had taken him much further into darkness. He left Korriban and, on Nadd's advice, made his way to the forgotten world of Yavin Four.
