SWTOR Hutta Blue Matrix Shard Location Guide
The Blue Matrix Shards are remnant relics of the Infinite Empire and no longer useful. Once they were used to create your first relics at the game's launch. Now it's simply part of the Datacron Master Achievement along with codex: Galactic History 03: The Battalions of Zhell. There are 3 Datacrons in total located on the planet of Hutta.
Datacrons are collectables scattered around the galaxy in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each Datacron contributes towards your Legacy's passive stats permanently. Furthermore, they also provide interesting Lore and Codex Entries about the Old Republic era.
Starting coordinates: -17, 230.
This Datacron is located down in the Sewer Maintenance Tunnels, a Heroic Area.
You have to either fight your way through or use a stealth character to bypass all the enemies in the Sewer Maintenance Tunnels.
Instead of taking the path that leads out of the sewers again, you have to turn right and follow the path to the dead end where the Datacron is located, guarded by a Champion Droid called B3-4T Disposal Droid.
This will grant you a Blue Matrix Shard, which is no longer useful, but is simply part of the Legacy achievement towards Datacron Master, along with the codex: Galactic History 03: The Battalions of Zhell.
This datacron holds unheard of power and knowledge collected by an ancient race. You access its power and discover writings which are clearly only one small piece of a massive galactic history:
In the millennia before the founding of the Republic, humans had not yet developed spaceflight. One human population--perhaps the only one--was confined to Coruscant, divided into thirteen tribes. This nearly proved disastrous when a volcanic eruption caused a near-extinction event, wiping out a large percentage of human life.
This made the humans easy prey for the Taung, a gray-skinned species that reveled in battle. Awed by the majesty of the eruption's ash cloud, the Taung took the name "Warriors of the Shadow," descended on the surviving humans and subjugated them. Gradually the fighting force of the thirteen human tribes--known as the Battalions of Zhell--mustered a resistance against the Taung.
After years of struggle, the Battalions managed to repel the Taung and claim their freedom. Coruscant has been the seat of humanity ever since.
