SWTOR Hoth Orange Mastery Datacron Location Guide
The Orange Mastery Datacron increases your aptitude in combat, allowing you to do more damage. It will grant you Mastery +4 to your permanent stats along with codex: Galactic History 63: The Terentatek Hunt. There are 5 Datacrons in total located on the planet of Hoth.
Datacrons are collectables scattered around the galaxy in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Each Datacron contributes towards your Legacy's passive stats permanently. Furthermore, they also provide interesting Lore and Codex Entries about the Old Republic era.
Starting coordinates: 2981, 470.
This Datacron is located on the second floor of the south part of the derelict Star of Coruscant. This is a jumping puzzle.
Enter the south entrance of the derelict ship and run all the way to the end (east on the map) and up the ramp.
Use the lift to get to the second floor.
Get off the lift on the right side (south on the map) and move to the first stack of containers.
If you are an avid jumper, then move to the next section, past the Elite NPC and use the forklift to start your jump and you can skip the next 3 images.
Climb the single crate behind the container to get on top of the container.
From the opposite end of the container, jump to the forklift and onto the next container straight ahead.
Use the crates and containers to reach the top of the stacked containers to the left.
From the top jump down to the container on the right and move onto the ledge on the wall.
Follow the ledge around the corner and drop down onto the container below.
Here you wait for the hook carrying a container until it stops in front of you, then jump onto it. If you fail this jump, you have to repeat the prior steps.
Enjoy the ride!
Wait until it again stops at the end of its track and jump onto the stacked containers. It should fit with the other hook arriving as you climb the containers.
Again wait until it stops in front of you and then jump onto the hooked container.
Enjoy the ride again!
When you are about to reach halfway prepare to jump to the hooked container that's moving up/down. Be sure not to jump unless it is going down and is positioned below you. Use rocket boost to help with the jump, if that makes it easier for you.
For the final jump, be sure the container you are on is as high up as possible before jumping to be sure you won't miss the jump. Use rocket boost again, if it makes you feel safer.
This will grant you Mastery +4 to your permanent stats along with the codex: Galactic History 63: The Terentatek Hunt.
This datacron holds unheard of power and knowledge collected by an ancient race. You access its power and discover writings which are clearly only one small piece of a massive galactic history:
Although the Dark Lord Exar Kun was gone, traces of his evil remained. Exar Kun had been a master of Sith alchemy and his monstrous terentateks had thrived--reshaped and empowered to hunt Force-sensitives. After the Great Sith War, the Jedi Council sent three Jedi--Shaela Nuur, Guun Han Saresh and Duron Qel-Droma--to hunt these beasts down.
Initially close friends, the three Jedi began to quarrel as the hunt went on. Guun Han Saresh disapproved of Duron and Shaela's budding romance and left the group. He later perished in the Kashyyyk Shadowlands, trying to fight a terentatek alone.
Meanwhile, Duron and Shaela pursued two terentateks in the tombs of Korriban, but Duron was killed by one of the beasts. Stricken by grief and rage, Shaela tried to take on both beasts by herself but was overwhelmed, ending the terentatek hunt.
